Exhibition November 2022

Our main exhibition back after a three-year hiatus...
21/11/2022
Our exhibition in November was a great success and greatly enjoyed by members and visitors alike.

The cafe did a roaring trade as always, the tombola was a great success not to mention the many paintings sold and admired. The range of crafts and cards available was exceptionable and did a brisk sale. The public choose Janet Halliwell's "an autumn bouquet" and Alan's "wetlands" painting as their favorites. Many thanks to Liz Hunt who came to present the winners with the PJ Hunt trophy and their awards, both were deserving winners without doubt. Visitor George Duncan won this year's prize draw and came into the club to collect his prize, a beautiful watercolour painting by Yorkshire Artist George Coates.

Congratulations also go to Janet Gomerall who came second with her painting "We're on thin ice" and Anne Wakefield and Rob Thomson who came joint third with their paintings "a kingfisher" and "snow scene".

A big thank you to the many volunteers who worked so hard to make this exhibition a great event for both the members and the visitors. We would like to thank all the visitors who came and enjoyed viewing our work and for taking a painting or craft item home with them. It is such a thrill to know that someone wanted to own a piece of our artwork. Thanks for coming and thanks for all your support. See you again next year when we are sure to have a wide choice of art, crafts, cakes and lots more to tempt you once again.
